The World Happiness Report, traditionally prepared by the United Nations, was published. Finland ranked first as the happiest country in the world for the fourth time in a row.

Finland was followed by Denmark, Switzerland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Luxembourg, New Zealand and Austria in the top 10.
