US President Joe Biden reportedly rejected Russian leader Putin’s request for a meeting.
A written statement was made from the Russian Foreign Ministry on the subject.
In the statement, it was stated that Putin requested an online meeting with Biden on March 19 or March 22 in order to discuss the accumulated bilateral problems and strategic stability issues.
In the statement, which was recorded that the request for a meeting was rejected, “In the Russian-American relations, another opportunity was missed to find a way out of the impasse caused by Washington’s mistake. The responsibility for this belongs entirely to the USA.

Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitriy Peskov said about the possibility of a Putin-Biden meeting, “Today, the meeting is not in the plans. As far as I understand, the American side was not ready.”

US President Biden claimed on March 17 that Putin was the “murderer” and said that Russia would “pay the price” for interfering with the US elections.
Russian President Putin also wished Biden “health” and said, “Evaluating another country, state, people or people is like looking in the mirror. We always see ourselves there”.
Putin had offered to meet Biden live online.
