In a statement made by the Russian Federal Information Technologies and Mass Communication Supervisory Authority (Roskomnadzor), it was stated that Twitter deleted 91 percent of the requested prohibited content.

The statement pointed out that there is no need to ban Twitter due to the removal of the content in question, and the decision to slow down the speed for Twitter will continue on mobile devices, and it will be removed for fixed internet connections.
In the statement, it was noted that banned content was detected on YouTube and Facebook, and the speed of both sites could be slowed down if the content in question was not removed.
TWITTER’S SPEED SLOWED BY 50 PERCENT
With the decision taken on March 10, Roskomnadzor slowed Twitter’s pace by 50 percent due to not removing content that encouraged suicide, obscene and drug abuse.
