Emphasizing that politics and diplomacy may sometimes be resentful, but the relations will progress more easily after a common intention is set, Çavuşoğlu said, “Egypt invited a delegation from Turkey. A delegation will go to Egypt at the beginning of May.” he had spoken.

Çavuşoğlu stated that the delegation would be at the level of deputy ministers, and then he could meet with his Egyptian counterpart.

Diplomatic relations between Turkey and Egypt have been continuing mutually at the level of charge d’affaires since 2013.

During this period, short meetings were held between the foreign ministers of the two countries on various occasions, while the Consulate General in Istanbul with the Egyptian Embassy in Ankara and the Consulate General in Alexandria with the Turkish Embassy in Cairo continue their activities.
