Turkey’s Ambassador to Vienna Ozan Ceyhun and Salzburg Consul General Berkan Pazarcı stepped in.
Ayşe Karaaslan, who had wounds on her body, was treated at the hospital.
Foreign Minister Yavuz Selim Kıran announced that the couple is in good health.
“We express our heartfelt gratitude to their neighbor Alexander Eisenmann, who saved our citizens, who were drowned in the flood disaster in the Austrian city of Salzburg, at the cost of their lives,” the Deputy Minister said on Twitter.
Kıran said, “Alexander Bey’s heroism with a sense of human responsibility is admirable.”
The restaurant of the Karaaslan couple became unusable due to the flood. The loss is estimated to be close to 100,000 euros.
