While it is reported that the amount of rain that falls in the city in a day is close to the annual average, meteorologists, who spoke to the local media, reported that the amount of precipitation witnessed for three days in Zhengzhou can be seen “once in a thousand years”.
While train services were canceled due to the flood in the city, many roads were closed to traffic.
The torrential rain that has been effective in Henan province at regular intervals since July 17 caused flooding yesterday.
The subway network in the province’s capital, Zhengzhou, was flooded, leaving many passengers stranded.
