Fire took 4 lives in Greek part

The fire that has been going on for two days in the Greek Cypriot part is partially under control.

Authorities stated that a large forest area was damaged in the fire.

The Greek Cypriot government requested assistance from the European Union (EU) and Israel to extinguish the fire.

The President of the TRNC Ersin Tatar called the Greek Cypriot Administration (GCA) leader Nikos Anastasiades yesterday and conveyed that they were ready to help to extinguish the fire in Limassol. Anastasiades said that they would evaluate the Turkish side’s offer of assistance.
