Smart shoes for the visually impaired designed in Austria

Technology company Tec-Innovation engineers in Austria have developed a smart shoe called ‘InnoMake’ specially developed for the visually impaired.

Visually impaired individuals become aware of obstacles thanks to ultrasonic sensors attached to the tip of the shoe.

In the smart shoes, where a system similar to automobile parking sensors is used, the visually impaired user is warned by vibration whenever they approach any obstacle.

The company stated that they started working to develop smart shoes with a value of 3 thousand 800 dollars (31 thousand 600 TL) with an artificial intelligence supported camera in the coming years.
