The Russian Foreign Ministry decided to deport 20 diplomats working at the Czech Embassy in Moscow.
In a written statement made by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was reported that Czech Ambassador to Moscow Vitezslav Pivonka was invited to the ministry and given a note.
Pivonka stated that the Czech authorities’ unfriendly behavior towards the Russian diplomatic mission employees in Prague was strongly protested and said, “Ambassador Pivonka was informed that 20 employees at the Czech Embassy in Moscow were declared ‘unwanted persons’. until they were asked to leave the Russian lands. ” expression was used.
It was also noted that the Czech side should make the number of diplomatic mission employees in Moscow equal with the number of mission workers at the Russian Embassy in Czechia.
Yesterday, Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiş stated that 18 Russian diplomats worked for the Russian intelligence service and that there were serious suspicions that the country was related to an explosion in an ammunition depot in the South Moravia region in 2014, thus announcing that 18 Russian diplomats were asked to leave the country within 48 hours.
