Protests against resumption of cruise voyages in Venice

In Venice, Italy, cruise voyages, which could not be made for 17 months due to the Corona virus epidemic, started again, while city residents protested the return of giant ships to Venice.

Cruise services, which could not be made for 17 months due to Corona virus (Covid-19) measures, have resumed in the city of Venice, which is famous for its canals in Italy.
While cruise voyages started again with the departure of the 92 thousand-ton MSC Orchestra ship from Venice today, the residents of the city reacted to the return of the giant ships.
As the MSC Orchestra ship departed from Venice, hundreds of people gathered on the shore to protest the resumption of voyages.
The demonstrators carried placards “No to big ships”. A group of protesters protested with their small engines and boats.
Security forces prevented small engines from approaching the ship during the protest.
