North Korea leader of Kim Jong-un, banned the wearing of tight jeans and hairstyles reflecting the “capitalist lifestyle”.
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un issued an order banning clothing and hairstyles that reflect the “capitalist lifestyle”, South Korea-based Yonhap news agency reported.
Accordingly, tight jeans, branded T-shirts, tattoos, and dyed and sewn hairstyles were banned in the country.
In the Emir, the clothing and hairstyles “reflecting the capitalist lifestyle” were described as “anti-socialist behavior”.
It was pointed out that the decision was taken after the news that Rodong Sinmun, the official publication of the North Korean Workers Party, raised concerns over the day-to-day adoption of “Western fashion” by North Korean youth.
“We have to be wary of even the slightest sign of the capitalist lifestyle and fight to get rid of them,” said Kim Jong-un.
