In the United Kingdom, which has vaccinated 68 percent of its population with at least one dose and half of it completely, Health Minister Sajid Javid made a speech to MPs in the Parliament.
Minister Sajid Javid announced that in the future, people will not be quarantined if they come into contact with patients who have positive corona virus tests.
Javid stated that especially those who have received two doses of vaccine will not be quarantined if they come into contact with someone who has a positive corona virus test as of August 16.
However, Minister Javid stated that young people under the age of 18 who are found to have been in contact with someone who has a positive corona virus test will not be quarantined.
THIRD DOSAGE VACCINE IS PLANNED FROM SEPTEMBER
In the UK, which will completely remove the quarantine measures as of July 19, it is planned to start the third dose of corona virus vaccine from September.
The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunization (JCVI) has recommended that more than 30 million Britons receive a third booster dose to extend the protection against Covid-19 already provided by two doses of vaccine before winter arrives.
OBJECTIVE: KEEP THE VIRUS AWAY IN WINTER
Javid said that they are working with England’s National Health Service (NHS) to make sure they can quickly offer this program to ensure people are protected against the disease during the winter months, and that the plan is designed to keep the virus at bay during the winter months when restrictions need to be eased completely.
The third dose of vaccine is planned to cover all adults aged 50 and over and those eligible for the flu vaccine.
