According to the report released by 16 media outlets, Khashoggi and his relatives were followed by “Pegasus” spyware produced by the Israeli company NSO Group.

Investigations revealed that Khashoggi’s fiancee, Hatice Cengiz’s phone was also hacked days after the murder.

According to the news of the Washington Post, the list leaked to the press includes the phone numbers of 50 thousand people.

The leaked information includes journalists, company executives and even heads of state among numbers spanning more than 50 countries and 4 continents.

NSO Group previously denied the allegations that the software was used to kill Khashoggi and announced that it was only used to track terrorists.
