French President Emmanuel Macron changed his mobile phone and line after allegations that his phone was tapped with the Pegasus software developed by Israel-based NSO Group.
Recently, it was revealed that the phones of more than 50 thousand people around the world were targeted using “Pegasus” spy software developed by Israel-based NSO Group.
France-based Le Monde newspaper claimed that the Moroccan government spied on the smartphone of French President Emmanuel Macron using Pegasus spyware.
Although the allegations that his phone was tapped with Pegasus software have not been proven yet, Macron changed his mobile phone and line as a precaution.
While there are a total of 4 phones belonging to Macron, it has not been announced which of the phones he stopped using.
It is reported that studies are still continuing to determine whether Macron’s phone has been hacked and security protocols have been strengthened.
