DENTISTS WILL BE HIT THE VACCINE

Dentists will be allowed to vaccinate in practice centers that are planned separately from facilities controlled by local administrations.

Medically qualified Self Defense Forces (SDF) staff will also assist with vaccination activities at these centers.

Speaking to national television, Health, Labor and Welfare Minister Tamura Norihisa said vaccination of under 65 years of age could begin in July if sufficient supply is provided.

In Japan, the vaccination of healthcare workers was started in mid-February, and the vaccination of over 65 years old was started in early April.
