Tajikistannorth of Sughd and KyrgyzstanThe water station located in the Isfara river, which separates the Batken state in the south of Turkey, brought the two countries against each other.
While the people of both countries claimed that the water source belonged to them, the discussions gave way to throwing stones against each other. The security forces of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan also supported the local people with their fire at the border.
While the citizens of Kyrgyzstan are watching the clashes from behind a trench in the videos shared on social media, Reutersexplained that the images have not been confirmed yet.
It is also claimed that Tajikistan’s army sent reinforcements to the Kyrgyzstan border with videos associated with the issue on social media.

While the Kyrgyzstan Security Committee said that Tajikistan soldiers attacked their water source using mortars, Tajikistan officials on the contrary claimed that the source belonged to them and that the Kyrgyz soldiers opened fire on them.
According to the latest determinations, 9 Tajikistan citizens were injured, while Kyrgyzstan reported 4 injured.
