Israeli warplanes hit a sponge factory in Gaza

Israeli warplanes bombed a sponge factory in the north of the Gaza Strip. A big fire broke out in the factory where flammable materials were found.

According to a written statement from the Civil Defense Organization in Gaza, the sponge factory, located to the east of the Jabalia Refugee Camp, was targeted by Israeli warplanes with phosphorus bombs.
While a large-scale fire broke out in the factory where flammable materials were located, there was heavy smoke in the area after the attack.
It was noted that firefighters had difficulty in controlling the fire, and great efforts were made to prevent the flames from spreading to the surrounding buildings.
It was reminded that Israel hit a factory in Beit Lahiya two days ago and caused a big fire again.
In Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip since May 10, 200 people, including 58 children, have lost their lives, 1307 people have been injured; Dozens of buildings were completely destroyed or became unusable.
