Iranian ship allegedly attacked in Red Sea

The semi-official Tasnim News Agency, close to the Revolutionary Guards in Iran, argued that the explosion on the ship was caused by explosives that could be glued.

In the report, it was stated that the ship named “Saviz” was located in the region in order to provide logistical support to the security forces that ensure the safety of Iranian merchant ships.

Saudi Arabia’s Al Arabiya television also claimed that the Iranian ship “Saviz” was attacked in the Red Sea.

No statement has yet been made by Iranian officials on the issue.
