Incentive for Elon Musk from Germany: Satellite internet support

Germany has started to prepare a support package for satellite internet providers such as Starlink.

In a statement made by the German Ministry of Transport, Germany said they want to help citizens in rural areas have better access to the internet by supporting the purchase of hardware for satellite internet services such as Elon Musk’s Starlink.

Thanks to this support, not the monthly internet cost of Starlink, but the parts required for its installation, such as satellite antenna, will be offered to users.

Starlink’s monthly usage fee was announced as 99 euro. However, there is an installation cost of 500 dollars.

In his statement at the beginning of the month, Musk announced that the applications of those who want internet access with Starlink exceeded 500 thousand.

Starlink continues to expand this project with a total of 12 thousand internet satellites and an investment of 10 billion dollars.
