It was stated that approximately 3 percent of unaccompanied immigrant children trying to enter the country illegally from the southern border of the USA were positive for the new type of corona virus (Covid-19) tests.

In the news that Axios based on data from the US Department of Health, it was stated that 319 unaccompanied migrant children who were tested positive for Covid-19 after being caught were isolated from other immigrant children.

In the report, it was noted that the rate of children who tested positive for Covid-19 in the bunker in Corrizo Spring, Texas, opened by the Biden administration last month, reached up to 10 percent.

In the news, which was shared with the information that the rate of unaccompanied migrant children who tested positive for Covid-19 in 2020 was 7.4 percent, it was stated that this corresponds to the figure of 2 thousand 897.

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, Mark Weber, argued that immigrant children who have been tested for Covid-19 are expected to be positive at these rates, and that they have taken the necessary measures in 200 facilities in 22 states belonging to the ministry.

It was shared that there are more than 11,500 unaccompanied migrant children in the facilities belonging to the Ministry of Health.
