El Dorado Weather site, which monitors the air temperatures, shared the information that some cities of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Iraq are among the 15 regions with the highest temperatures in the world in the last 24 hours.
Some Arab countries, including Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Algeria, Egypt and Saudi Arabia, called on their citizens to avoid the negative effects of the hot weather.
In this context, while working in public institutions in some provinces of Iraq such as Basra, Diyala and Karbala was suspended today and tomorrow, working hours were reduced in Salahaddin province.
In the statement made by the meteorological institution in the country, a warning was given not to go out during the peak hours of the sun due to the extremely hot weather that will continue until Saturday.
The Civil Defense Directorate also warned not to drive during rush hour traffic and not to leave items such as batteries and perfumes that could explode in the vehicle.
In the statement, citizens were also warned about snakes and scorpions that tend to come out of their nests in hot weather.
In Libya, it was warned that the air temperature, which will be seen intensely in the southern regions of the country, will rise above 48 degrees in the shade, and the extreme heat will continue until the end of the week.
Schools in the city of al-Havamid in the west of the country were suspended today and tomorrow. In the city of Misrata, the residents of the region, who were overwhelmed by the heat, tried to relax by swimming in the sea.
“Libya Al-Ahrar” channel also stated that the heat wave, which has been going on for 13 days in the country, is the longest temperature since 1987.
In Egypt, a warning was given about the hot weather that will be effective especially in the south of the country.
It was stated that the temperatures, which started on Sunday and are expected to continue until July 9, will reach their highest level on July 2, reaching 43 degrees in Cairo and 47 degrees in the south.
Authorities warned not to go out during peak hours and not to leave explosive items in the vehicle. In the city of Alexandria, it was seen that many people went to the beaches opened under the shadow of the new type of coronavirus measures due to the hot weather.
In Algeria, it was announced that the air temperature in the southern regions of the country will exceed 48 degrees.
Citizens of the country were urged to avoid the negative effects of hot weather.
Officials in Saudi Arabia, on the other hand, warned of the extreme heat in the country.
Expressing that the air temperature will approach 50 degrees in the northern and eastern regions of the country, the officials noted that the temperature will be 45 to 48 degrees in Medina, Riyadh and November.
Expressing that the air temperature in Kuwait reached 50 degrees yesterday, it will rise to 51 degrees today and 53 degrees on Friday, the relevant institutions warned due to the hot weather.
