France conducts first military exercise in space

Some countries seem determined to make space also the battlefield of the future. France announced this week that it conducted its first space exercise.

The statement came from the French Space Command, which was established in 2019.

The exercise in the form of simulations at the control center aims to evaluate the situation of French satellites in space in the face of a possible attack.

French military officials say the exercise, called AsterX2021, is a first in Europe.

Trump’s Space Force and the German Space Agency are also participating in the exercise, which will continue until Friday.

The French administration, saying “Our competitors are militarizing space,” established the Space Command in 2019.

It is also alleged that the French army is working on laser weapons to destroy enemy satellites in orbit.
