Explosion in lime kiln in India: 10 dead

Today, a big explosion occurred in the lime kiln in the village of Mamillapalle in the Kadapa region of Andhra Pradesh state of India.

Kadapa police chief K Anburaja stated that the explosion occurred while workers were carrying explosives to the furnace, and 10 people were killed.

Andhra Pradesh State Prime Minister Mohan Reddy expressed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and announced that an investigation has been launched into the incident.
