Europe’s oldest map appeared: 4 thousand years old


On the other hand, the stone slab in question was forgotten over time as it was moved to different parts of France. When it first appeared in 1900, experts moved it to the National Museum of Antiquities in 1924. However, by 2017, researchers from the French National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research (Inrap), Bournemouth University and West Brittany University decided to re-examine the engraved slab.
