In New York City, USA, a parade named “Heroes Canyon” was held in honor of essential service workers fighting the new type of Coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic.

Starting from Battery Park at the southern tip of Manhattan and continuing on Broadway Street, the parade was attended by employees who served during the epidemic, such as nurses, doctors, emergency responders, teachers and bus drivers.
During the parade, which ended in front of the New York City city hall, essential service workers were honored with cheers from New Yorkers and confetti thrown from the buildings.
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, who participated in the convoy with healthcare workers, stated that New Yorkers had successfully fought against the epidemic for 15 months, “Here are the people who made history in New York’s most difficult times, they deserve this march as heroes.” said.
Parades for soldiers, astronauts, or trophy-winning sports teams are a 125-year-old New York City tradition.
The latest in a similar parade was held to honor the USA women’s soccer team that won the 2019 World Cup.
