Mexico will distribute some properties seized from cartels as lottery prizes, including the home of drug lord Joaquin Guzman, known as “El Chapo”.
Recently, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador announced in his speech that luxury estates, luxury apartments, a box in the Aztec Stadium and the residences of captured cartel leaders will be distributed as lottery prizes with a draw to be held on September 15.
President Obrador also stated that the properties stolen from the people will be distributed by lottery and returned to the people where they are, and that vaccines, medicines and scholarships will be financed with the income obtained.
After Obrador’s speech, the details of the prizes to be distributed in the lottery became clear.
Among the seized residences from the drug cartels are a house worth 3.8 million pesos owned by El Chapo and a super-luxurious villa with a jacuzzi with a pool of 77 million peso, built on 3,000 square meters of land owned by the drug lord Amado Carrillo Fuentes, known as the ‘Lord of the Skies’. .
In addition, some luxury lands will be distributed as bonuses, as well as a 20-person luxury lodge with a bathroom and kitchen inside the Aztec Stadium belonging to the Mexican Presidency.
