According to the news of the Qatar official agency QNA, in a written statement from the Office of the Attorney General, it was stated that such a decision was taken after the documents and reports were examined.
It was stated that the reports included accusations such as “damaging public property and abuse of duty” and that the security forces were ordered to detain Minister of Finance Imadi.
The statement also noted that a comprehensive investigation will be launched into the charges.
Imadi, who has been Minister of Finance in Qatar since 2013, also served as Chairman of the Board of Qatar Airways (Qatar Airways) and Chairman of the Board of Qatar National Bank (Qatar National Bank).
