Covid plane: 47 passengers tested positive


It was announced that 47 of the 68 passengers on the flight from New Delhi, the capital of India, to Hong Kong, organized by an Indian tour operator on April 4, tested positive.

Officials said several cases were also detected on flights from Mumbai to Hong Kong, while the Hong Kong administration banned all flights from India, Pakistan and the Philippines for two weeks.

In Hong Kong, one of the regions where Covid-19 was first seen, 11 thousand 696 cases have been recorded, while at least 205 people have died due to the virus so far.

BRITISH MUTATION DETERMINED

While the new type of corona virus epidemic continues to spread worldwide, the N501Y mutation that emerged in Hong Kong, England was detected for the first time.

With the detection of cases originating from abroad in the last 14 days in Hong Kong, India, Pakistan and the Philippines were included in the “high risk countries” category.

Reciprocal flights between Hong Kong and India, Pakistan and the Philippines were suspended for 2 weeks after the mutation was confirmed.

According to the decision, which will be valid from tomorrow, visitors who have stayed in India, Pakistan and the Philippines for more than 2 hours in the last 21 days will not be able to enter Hong Kong.

INDIA BREAKS RECORD ON RECORD

India, on the other hand, is breaking records after record in Covid-19 cases and casualties. In the past days, it was stated that one out of every 3 tests performed in the country, which is based on the daily 275 case limit, was positive.

While the number of cases recorded in the country so far has exceeded 15 million, the total loss of life has reached 180 thousand.
