Cable car accident in Italy: 9 dead


The cable car carrying 11 people in the city of Verbania, located in the Piedmont region in northern Italy, crashed.

It was stated that the accident on the Stresa-Alpino-Mottarone cable car line was caused by the breakage of the cables to which the cable car was connected.

AT LEAST 9 PEOPLE LIVED

Italian media announced that at least 9 people died in the accident.

In the sharing of Italy’s fire brigade and rescue service organization Vigili de Fuoco, it was stated that an ambulance helicopter was sent to the area where the accident occurred.
