The recipe was accidentally uploaded to the website of the Belgian Official Journal.
In the French version of the Official Gazette, where the legal texts are published, the “asparagus gratin” recipe was included in the continuation of the section on the laws on the economy.
A Belgian lawyer named Morgan Moller noticed that the recipe on how to cook the meal in 6 steps was in the Official Gazette.
Moller, sharing a screenshot of the newspaper’s website on his social media account, wrote, “I am tired of those who say that the Official Gazette does not work. However, here you can find everything such as laws, decisions, recipes.”
Shortly after the mistake was noticed, the asparagus recipe was removed from the website.
I’ve had it with people who say the Belgian Official Gazette is useless. You will find everything there: laws, decisions, recipes for cooking, you name it.
To be honest : I haven’t come across this hilarity often in my legal career. 😁 pic.twitter.com/VKR9rJOg6Z
