53 crewed submarines of the Naval Forces Command disappeared in Indonesia


Search activities for the lost submarine belonging to the Naval Forces Command started in Indonesia with a crew of 53 people.

The German-made KRI Nanggala-402 type 53-crew submarine, affiliated with the Indonesian Navy, was lost during a torpedo exercise in northern Bali, as a result of the loss of communication with the command center. The Indonesian army began search and rescue efforts to find the missing submarine.

COMMUNICATION CUT AT 700 METERS DEPTH

Local media reported that the Department of Defense is seeking assistance from Australia and Singapore with search efforts. According to the news in the Indonesian media, it was reported that communication with the submarine was cut at a depth of 700 meters.
