220 million euro fine from France to Google

In the statement made by the Competition Authority, the US-based News Corp. and the French Le Figaro and Belgian Rossel media companies, it was stated in the investigation that Google gave privileges to its technology platforms in its own advertising network.

In the statement, it was stated that Google did not object to the results of the investigation, and that the fine was determined as 220 million euros in the negotiations with the company.

Google-affiliate Alphabet, which is accused of concessioning its subsidiary Adx platform, which brings together advertisers and publishers on its own DoubleClick ad network, generated 55.31 billion euros in revenue, mostly from advertising, in the first quarter of 2021.

The company is battling lawsuits for anti-competitive conduct in many countries.
