19,000 geese and ducks culled for bird flu in Denmark


In the statement made by the Food and Control Administration, it was stated that the H5N8 virus was found in geese and ducks on a farm in the village of Vinderup, within the borders of Holstebro Municipality.

It was stated that the culling of 10 thousand ducks and 9 thousand geese in the farm has started.

Bird flu has been detected in Denmark for the 15th time since November 2020.

Approximately 65 thousand turkeys in March last year and more than 100 thousand poultry in the last 5 months were culled due to the H5N8 virus.
